Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer designs and integrates electronic systems according to product requirements by developing, integrating, and testing system components as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop electronic parts, subassemblies, and products in support of product development projects by determining and executing the best design approach to meet customer requirements
  • Determine and execute verification and validation activities on electronic systems
  • Research and validate manufacturing and assembly methods to ensure successful product release to manufacturing
  • Prepare and present technical reports for design reviews and verification and validation reviews of designed components
  • Participate in design reviews and verification and validation reviews of other engineers’ designs
  • Evaluate electronic systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electronics and materials
  • Enhance product quality by designing for usability and manufacturability
  • Prepare and present technical assessments in support of business development opportunities
  • Maintain operability of electronic equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions
  • Obtain/maintain a high level of professional and technical proficiency via appropriate continuing education opportunities
  • Carry out duties in a manner consistent with Sierra-Olympic’s values



  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive experience with FPGA integration
