Low SWaP 16-180 mm MWIR camera

The newest addition to the Ventus family of cooled mid-wave infrared (MWIR) continuous zoom cameras, the Micro is a condensed but cutting edge ir camera designed for space-constrained UAV and UAS applications.


The Ventus Micro delivers unparalleled functionality and standoff range relative to its size, weight and power (SWaP). It pairs the latest 10 um pixel pitch HOT MWIR long-life cooled core with a detector-specific 16-180 mm folded zoom lens and adds the advanced image processing features and universal integration offered by Sierra-Olympic electronics. Powerful image processing algorithms include one-touch autofocus, electronic image stabilization, Adaptive Contrast Control (CLAHE/LAP), on board video and still storage, and a range of optional features including target detection and tracking.

The camera was designed specifically for space-constrained integrations in airborne and other low-SWaP applications and will fit into a 150 mm (6″) space claim.
