Sierra-Olympia Technologies Inc. is headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, in the outdoor adventure town of Hood River, Oregon. We are an eclectic group of engineers, designers and industry professionals with a wide variety of backgrounds and skill-sets. When we’re not in the office or lab, we can be found scattered around the forests, rivers, and mountains just outside of town, clearing our heads and making the most of our surroundings. OUR HISTORY
Sierra-Olympia Technologies was founded in 1995 as a sales representative for advanced cooled infrared camera technologies. Our roots in infrared imaging reach back even further, to the earliest commercially available cooled InSb cameras developed in the late 1980s.
In 2010, Sierra-Olympia was acquired by Hood Technology Corporation in Hood River, Oregon. Since then, we have expanded our capabilities across cooled and uncooled infrared imaging technologies.
Today, Sierra-Olympia combines decades of infrared expertise with in-house engineering, integration, and manufacturing capabilities to serve OEMs and customers with demanding imaging requirements.

Our focus is on advancing cooled and uncooled camera technologies, strengthening our capabilities in optics, electronics, software, and system integration, and helping OEM customers bring increasingly sophisticated imaging solutions to market.
